I can transfer to BetaSP or miniDV or VHS. Your choice. The camera you pointed out would work fine. As you have surmised, you do NOT need a camcorder, just a good 3 chip camera.

i'm about to send 8 rolls to kahl film in germany. they charge around ?160 ($140) per half hour of *running time*, plus ?6 per reel, including scene by scene color correction. sounds almost too good, so wish me luck. ;-)

I see, Alex. Oh, well. I don't know either party, so I can mention both. Pro8 looks like it is great for negative and the Transfer Station looks like it's great for reversal.

The place where I got In My Image Ranked in Sydney charged me about $2100 Australian - that's $1050 US for seven and half hours. Now they gave me a deal which I don't think they'll repeat (ie the person that gave it to me left - but her successors honoured it which I thought was quite decent of them) BUT I reckon they would still do a cheap deal - this is there URL but I thinkif anyone wants to sound them out don't email them just yet - tell me some details and I'll call the bloke there I was dealing with, because it will probably work out to be a cheaper quote that way - I'll sound him out and see if I can get a general quote for people off this board or whatever. Obviously there would be transport costs and considerations but it may work out to be a good possibility. I don't know see what the quotes are I guess - anyone interested?
